From February 12th to the 14th 2016, the Quebec City jamboree will take place, the only World Cup in Canada 100% freeslyle and 100% Urban!
This year, the organizers have dropped the competitions taking place at the Stoneham Mountain Resort and everything will now be held at Ilot Fleurit in the Nouvo St-Roch District and transform into a 100% urban event, which included skiing, not just snowboarding as in past years.
The FIS World Cup “Big Air” is without doubt one of the most impressive disciplines. No wonder we focus on it this year. From the top of a 35 meter high structure, professional skateboarders soar nearly exchangers Dufferin-Montmorency highway in the heart of downtown Quebec City to perform impressive acrobatics! The style, risk and landing are evaluation points, pushing the competition to the limits of reality.
For the first time, the 2016 edition of the Quebec City Jamboree will host a freeskiing competition. Discipline that recently became part of the Olympics. We will also have the chance to admire the achievements of young Quebecer Maxence Parrot who finished fifth in the slopestyle competition at the Sochi Games in 2014.
Under the supervision and collaboration of certified instructors of the Burton team, youth from 4 to 14 years old will be able to be introduced to the “feeling of sliding” snowboard for free (equipment loan included).
Feel free to visit the Jamboree site for more information! Music, atmosphere, exceptional performances and extreme performance will be presented and you do not want to miss them, believe me!
