Red Hot Chili Peppers in Quebec City Cancelled

Red Hot Chili Peppers in Quebec

After a difficult passage at the 2016 Summer Festival, Red Hot Chili Peppers canceled their concert scheduled for June 18, 2017 at the Quebec City’s Videotron Centre

The California Red Hot Chilli Peppers group show is canceled due to a scheduling conflict.

The legendary group of Californian funk-rock had not come to Quebec for more than 10 years! Their performance at the Summer Festival in 2016 having attracted its share of criticism mainly due to micro problems, the ticket sales for this indoor show was not as good as expected. The group invokes on the other hand a conflict of schedule to justify the cancellation of the concert of Quebec.

Members of the band led by Anthony Kiedis and Flea launched a new album in the summer of 2016, and the Quebec show was part of the album’s global tour. We would have had the chance to hear some new songs while enjoying the best known titles such as Californication, Under the Bridge, Give It Away, Scar Tissue, Dani California, My Friends, Otherside, Snow, By the way and so Others. Being active on the music scene for more than 30 years, RHCP are rock legends and a massive crowd would have certainly be present on the evening of June 18, 2017 in Quebec City.

Bio

The Red Hot Chili Peppers was formed in 1983 in Los Angeles. Current members are Anthony Kiedis (singer since 1983), Flea (bass, piano, trumpet and vocals since 1983), Chad Smith (drums and percussion since 1988) and Josh Klinghoffer (guitar, keyboard and vocals since 2009). An impressive number of former members have left, were fired or died, almost all due to significant drug problems.Their music is composed primarily of Rock and Funk, but influences of Punk, Metal and Rap congeal with it and the very singular rhythmic bass playing get their style very unique and can be recognizable between all quite easily.

In over thirty years of career, the band has sold over 90 million albums worldwide. Having won to date more than thirty prestigious prizes in différent galas of music around the world and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April 2012.
