Although his career took flight in Canada in the early 90s, the artist from Etterbeek in Belgium almost never made an appearance on the Quebec stages, this concert marking her first stop in career in the old capital.

Indeed, it is in Canada that her second album, Carpe Diem, comes out in 1994 and obtains in just 2 weeks the Golden Disc certification with the titles Tu T’en Vas, Si Tu M’aimes and a cover of the classic Je Suis Malade from French legend Serge Lama. It is only in 1998 that the rest of the French-speaking world, France Belgium and Switzerland, will have the opportunity to get this album, and the success is not as great as in Canada. It’s a different story for the next album, Pure, which will sell more than a million copies in France thanks to the two mega-hits Tout et Je t’aime, which remain the two greatest songs from Lara Fabian to this day.

Since then, she has given us 10 more studio albums, 5 albums in concert and directed her career to Europe, leaving her adopted country and the fans who gave her her first chance in the world of music. A sign of a return to its musical origins, the 48-year-old singer will make a comeback in Quebec’s artistic landscape as she will be coaching the next version of the popular talent discovery show La Voix, presented on the TVA network, alongside Garou and Alex Nevsky.

Lara Fabian's show at the Videotron Centre in Quebec City will be the perfect opportunity to rediscover the powerful voice of an artist who took her first steps in the beautiful province.
