Disappointed that they forgot Quebec City during their tour with Metallica? Be at peace, Avenged Sevenfold at the Videotron Center in Quebec City is happening
Metal music lovers, rejoice that an immensely popular band in the Quebec City area will be back on the biggest stage in the region. Indeed, January 19, 2018 will mark the passage of Avenged Sevenfold at the Videotron Center in Quebec City and it is not too early, since the band did not perform here during their summer tour, when they took the road with another beloved group of the music lovers from the Quebec City and eastern Canada region: Metallica.
Although James Hetfield and his friends once again offered us an alectric evening at the 50th edition of the Quebec City Summer Festival, several fans would have loved to see the group of leader M. Shadows perform on the main stage of the biggest music festival in Canada this summer. But they seemingly redeemed themselves by announcing this new tour, and it is accompanied by two other Metal / Emo bands that Avenged Sevenfold will make their long-awaited come back in the beautiful city of Quebec, Bullet for my Valentine and Breaking Benjamin.
This show marks the first concert for the beloved group of the inhabitants of the Old Capital in the new Videotron Center in Quebec City, since their most recent concert here dates back to 2014 when they had offered a memorable performance to the thousands of fans present in the late Pepsi Coliseum.
With a diverse repertoire that combines several metal variants, the group is considered to have propelled the metalcore style, a kind of metal more focused on catchy melodies, towards the heights of the Rock and Roll realm. Their first two albums, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet and Waking the Fallen are often named as the flagship albums of this musical style with the songs We Come Out at Night, Darkness Surroundings and Chapter Four.
Over the years, A7X has been able to evolve its sound environment in a beautiful way by combining softer and more melodious successes like Seize the Day and So Far Away with very heavy parts like Almost Easy, This Means War and Shepherd of Fire. They now have a sound of their own; an effective mixture of metal weighing harmonious melodies that reaches a wide audience through its arrangements tied up by unparalleled musicians.
Tickets for the Avenged Sevenfold at the Videotron Center in Québec City will be available online on Friday, October 13 at 10:00 am. Will you be lucky to have the chance to attend this colorful and decibel concert?
