The Red Bull Crashed Ice also called Ice Cross Downhill, is an extreme sport of skating, which takes place on a steep downhill course containing sometimes jumps and tight turns as well as steep slopes.
Competitors are dressed with protective equipment just like hockey players. The competitors must be agile and able and courage and composure in order to participate in this race. The event was first introduced in Stockholm, Sweden. Since then, the event is now presented in North America, Europe and Quebec City is now a selection as a popular destination.
Presented since 2000 in various cities of the world, Red Bull Crashed Ice 2012 is "a combination of hockey, boardercross and downhill skiing" where skaters face an extreme ice runway and unconventional, a little more long a half-kilometers (56 meters vertically).
