January-February
- Quebec Winter Carnival Discover the largest winter carnival in the world in the Capital of snow! Quebec’s carnival holds the third position among the major carnivals, closely following the famous carnivals in Rio and New Orleans. On the menu: winter sports, snow sculptures, canoe races, dogsled racing and much more.
- Winter Pentathlon Largest outdoor winter event in Canada, the Pentathlon offers a challenge that combines cycling, running, skiing, ice skating and snowshoeing that delights every winter, the participants and spectators alike gathered on the Plains of Abraham.

February
- Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament The International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament of Quebec takes places during a period of 11 days, attracting crowds totaling 200,000 people every year. The most popular sporting event began back in 1960 and has never ceased to grow in importance.
- Snow Jamboree & Fashion Jam Quebec annually hosts the World Cup snowboarding. In the program: competitions in big air, snowboard, halfpipe, parallel giant slalom, stairs and the Masters for professionals and amateurs alike. The Snow Jamboree is also a ton of events including the Fashion Jam, the largest fashion and urban music in Canada!

March
- Red Bull Crashed Ice Presented since 2000 in various cities around the world, Red Bull Crashed Ice is a combination of hockey, boarder cross and downhill where skaters face an ice extremely unconventional. Action guaranteed!

- Carrefour International de Théâtre The performances at the Carrefour are all located on the border of the theater and other artistic disciplines. The widely diversified programming, both internal and external, will transport you to a parallel world!

June
- National Holiday (Saint-Jean-Baptiste) Every year on June 23, on the eve of St. John the Baptist, it is party time in Quebec. The Plains of Abraham are invaded by thousands of people who attend the show set up to celebrate the anniversary of the province. Folklore Québécois is honoured with performances by several artists that come from here!

July
- Quebec City Summer Festival Largest outdoor arts festival in Canada, the Quebec City Summer Festival is more than 300 musical shows in 11 days! Major performances for all tastes are presented by big names in rock, jazz, classical music world as the Francophonie.

July-August
- Loto-Quebec International Fireworks Competition Be dazzled by this great competition of fireworks that takes place each year at the Parc de la Chute-Montmorency. During these three weeks, five countries will compete in order to be declared winner in the Grand Final Loto-Quebec will be presented at the closing of the event.

- Cirque du Soleil Amaluna This summer, Cirque du Soleil is moving back to quebec City from July 26th to August 26th 2012. It is once again next to Bassin Louise that they will draw up the famous blue and yellow tent and where will be presented their brand new show called Amaluna.

August
- New France Festival Keep your eyes open, perhaps you will come across a character that played an important role in the development of the city! Musicals, dance and parades are on the menu. Join the party as some 30,000 festival goers each year, suit up!
- Expo Québec Agricultural Fair Expo Quebec offers a variety of rides and games for young and older children. Meet a variety of farm animals and make a thousand and one discoveries at the culinary food fair. Do not miss the various musical performances and the sand sculpture contest!
- International festival of military bands An amalgam of rhythms for four days of music and animation to taste the military traditions FIMMQ! Indoor and outdoor concerts, a welcoming ceremony, a parade and activities for the whole family are scheduled not to mention the popular spectacle of the Military Tattoo Quebec presented at the Pepsi Coliseum.

- Festival of military tattoo The festival offers music inspired by spirituality from here and elsewhere, from the dawn of time to today, performed by internationally renowned artists who express through their art, all the power of healing and of excitement inherent in sacred music.
- Envol & Macadam festival Held annually and dedicated to new musical trends, the Envol & Macadam Festival is part of the circuit of major events in Quebec City as the only event dedicated to alternative music.

- Québec in All Letters (Website in French only) Literary event theme presented in Quebec City offers the general public with audacious, discoveries, challenges of writing and reading, a density of literary events under the banner of the curious and unusual.
- Jazz festival (Website in French only) A musical event dedicated to jazz in the National Capital, the Jazz Festival is an event of prestige and importance in the heart of Saint-Roch. It allows artists to offer all of Canada, an opportunity to perform in public and widely display their talent.
